doesn't look to me like the compound on the hands is original - it looks nothing like the compound on the dial
the dial damage isn't mould, but the paint coming up in places. That's age appropriate, and I will just leave that as it is
the old compound came off without any damage
now the hands have their compound taken off
ready for the new compound
very happy with the new compound
and exactly the same tone on the hands
