Omega Constellation 2887-1SC Calibre 505

This watch posed a big problem - one of the dial screws was so rusted that it wouldn't come out, and on the other side, somebody had put in a dial screw that was too big, which also wouldn't budge. Also, the rotor post was broken, and the rotor was rattling around in the case. To round things up, the impulse pin was also broken.

It took a week in alum to dissolve the two dial screws, and to be able to take the movement apart, I had to drill out the old dial feet, as there was no other way to get the dial off. Unfortunately, I drilled a tiny bit too far, and pierced the dial, so you can see two small holes in the dial.

Having soldered new dial feet on, and with the old dial screws dissolved, I could finally put the movement back together.
