Business as Usual

Dear Customers,

Firstly, I hope you are all well, and that you are still able to earn a living in the current circumstances. If you are running into financial trouble and have a watch with us, please don’t worry – we can put that to the side until you feel that you are in safer financial waters.

As for the workshop, all three of us are working, our benches are over 2 metres apart, and we are all healthy at the moment, so work here will continue as usual as far as we can predict the future.

We wish all our customers and readers continued health and well-being.

Christian, Johannes and Ray

  1. I have recently found my grandfather’s Jardur watch. He was not in the military, and it has a smooth back (not military) He was a novice pilot. His father was a jeweler. The watch isnt working. I think he had it in the mid to late 40’s? The face is well worn. It does not look like it has any water damage. I am interested in your services to restore the watch to working condition if possible. Please tell me how to proceed. Thanks in advance.

    • Hi Jackie,

Please read through the FAQ page on our website, and use the booking form if you want us to have a look at the watch.

      Kind regards,

      Christian

  2. I have just had my DateJust repaired and serviced and I was astonished by the fast service and ultra-competitive price. I cannon understand how Rolex and other repairers dare charge what they do when the Watch Gu does the seem job a fraction of the price.
    Thanks very much

  3. Hi , i have a zenith el primero cal.4021 but i need some parts for it , any idea where to find ?

  4. Hi Christian, today I received a Magrette MPP Kara. I had been waiting for it for a while as I didn’t have all the funds to buy it when it first came out. I bought what I thought was a perfect example from a UK seller, I’m here in Canada so had to pay some duty as well. When I tried to turn the crown it felt “gritty” then I noticed that the rotor wasn’t freely moving. Do I have a dud movement? Truly gutted as it will cost me to return it to the seller so I’m stuck with a bad watch, if it’s truly a dud.
    Thanks in advance
    Mike

  7. Good on you Christian and co.
I’ve been eyeing your blog for updates since the submariner post.

I am grateful to my customers sending me watches for work during this time. I have stressed that payment can be made later if that is helpful.
