the hour hammer spring is broken
the base movement is back together and ticking
super performance of the base movement!
the new spring is a mirror image of the old one, so I have to put the pin to the other side
I try to push the pin out, but it's part of the spring and machined out , so it can't be pushed
I put a new pin on the bottom side of the spring
not quite there yet - the pin that sticks out has to be taken off, and I have to sink the hole for the screw

yet another problem - the second hand tube is broken ...
I will replace the old, split tube with a new tube
the hand is broached to fit the new tube
the hand is soldered to the tube
then the tube length is corrected
the central second hand with the new tube
just to bother me some more, the sub-second hand tube is split as well
as the pressure on that tube isn't that great, I just solder the split shut
