The other day I had some spare time left, so I worked on a citizen diver I obtained…
The NY2300 8200 200 mtrs.
Work involved: A complete overhaul, changing bezelinsert, crystal and hands, buffing the case, finding a strap for it.
Here some before and after pictures:

AFTER:
I also have a watch like this and the only watch left, before this I had a lot of watches, sell and buy and this Citizen I’ll not sell, now in the process of changing the nylon strap. My opinion on the repair of your watch, for me it is better before the repair, that mean keep the original item just overhaul the engine
What I size crystal did you use? I’ve seen 29.0mm and 29.3mm in different forums…
Hi John,
May I ask how you removed the bezel? I’ve thought that removing it would be as easy as removing an SKX bezel but I’m having no luck at all. Could you recommend the tool you used please?
best regards
Peter
I use the Bergeon bezel removing tool. It’s available at cousinsuk.com.
Amazing job! Would have been nice to see a few of the interim steps to the final result!
Just finished another Citizen. Made some pics while working on the movement
Is that the same dial? It is amazing what new glass can do 😉
I do like a Pepsi bezel… is that an OEM or after-market one?
Its the same dial, but cleaned it and did some work on the lume.
The bezelinsert is A.M.
