This is Robert’s second watch – a Citizen ParaWater. It’s not running at all, and it needs a new crystal.
Looks clean enough in here.
As with many Japanese watches, the wheel and barrel bridge are one.
Time for the bottom plate.
Lots of old oil in the barrel.
Everything taken apart and ready for the cleaning machine.
I start off with the wheel/barrel bridge.
Top and bottom balance jewels are slightly different.
And the movement is ticking again.
The bottom plate assembly back in place.
Dial and hands go on.
I adjust the beat error and beat rate. The watch isn’t even half wound, so we have a great amplitude.
The dial ring is a bit battered, but a nice looking watch nevertheless!
Doesn’t matter if the ring is battered and well used – will only match its owner even better 😉
